What’s on your face?! : Spring Essentials

I know, I know. I took a little unannounced hiatus from What’s on your face?! last week. But this week and next I’ll be sharing a couple of great products with you that I’ve found in recent weeks. Trying to take better care of my skin in 2014 has changed a bit with the warmer weather. I’m no longer dealing with dry flaky skin as I was when I wrote my initial skin care products review to kick off this series. Now, instead I’m interested in keeping my skin oil/shine free, clear, and protected from the sun. I plan on posting more on this in future What’s on your face?! posts, but for now here are a couple of products for Spring that I’ve been loving lately.

I know, I’ve gushed about Say Yes to… products before. I LOVED that bamboo carrot scrub I used during winter. I switched to the cream cleanser for the spring/summer months and love it so far.

On a whim, I picked up a new tube of lipstick at the pharmacy the other day. I chose Wet ‘n Wild’s Megalast (vegan according to this source) in Cherry Bomb. I love a good red lip and this one is dark, sultry, and blood red. And at $1.99 a tube, it was a small price to pay for a little mid week pick me up. (Note: not all of Wet ‘n Wild’s products are cruelty free or vegan. The Mega Last lip colors and all of their mascaras are though. Check out Melisser Elliott’s list that I linked above for more products that are vegan friendly.)

Several of you have mentioned how much you love the Say Yes to…Cucumbers! line, especially the towelettes for make up removal. I’m excited to try more from their line as my skin care adventures unfold.
